While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were

My husband was my rock through this whole process. He encouraged me to invest in myself by doing the degree. He made a lot of meals, cleaned a lot of rooms and gave me a lot of space. He made me celebrate the end of every class and every earned A. He kept me focused on squeezing as much joy and learning out of every opportunity offered through this process. So thankful for him!

My favorite SMC memory is

The trip to Thailand. I lived in SE Asia years ago and have been wanting to go back for over 20 years. Hearing the cicadas, walking through the humidity, making lunch in an outdoor kitchen and seeing multiple people on a single motorcycle felt so good. Combining the trip with working on a project that directly impacted a marginalized people group was incredibly meaningful for me.

I'm looking forward to most

Getting back into fabric arts. I miss my sewing machine.
