Halen Gamino is an Integral major. He has been working at the Mission and Ministry Center for the past three years but has been a part of the of the family since his freshman year. Next year, Halen will be at Cathedral High School in El Paso, Texas, teaching math and religion, as well as discerning a call to the Brothers.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were
The Brothers, Everyone at the Mission and Ministry Center, all of my Integral Tutors, my cohort, and all the friends I have been blessed to meet at SMC.
My favorite SMC memory is
I was able to take an introductory course on playing the piano. After a year of practice I was able to play a small piece at the Integral Christmas Concert. I remember doing okay, but I made a couple of mistakes. After I finished I sat down next to Br. Martin, and he asked if I was nervous. I showed him my hands which were shaking. He laughed softly and told me it gets easier.
I'm looking forward to most
Teaching high school Math and Religion at Cathedral El Paso.
