While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were

My family and friends, especially my sister who has always given me the most honest and reassuring advice and who has kept my spinning head on straight. I would also like to thank the library for housing me rent free for the past four years, Cafe Louis for selling the best double chocolate chip mega muffin and my professors for letting me take over pretty much all their office hours.

My favorite SMC memory is

My favorite SMC memory is really a culmination of all the small, seemingly ordinary and mundane moments. My best friends singing some overplayed pop song at the top of their lungs as they dance around our apartment and the adrenaline fueled warrior yells at the first basketball game of the season. Big potluck dinners, brunch at Town Bakery, sunbathing by the pool, study sessions... all of it.

I'm looking forward to most

Eating and backpacking my way through Europe, pursuing a masters in metabolic biology, living by the beach and learning to surf or in the city or in the mountains... I'm looking forward to exploring life in a lot of different ways, cooking a lot of new foods, taking a lot of photos and meeting new people.
There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.
